Brake fluid - the main data and security measures

During the work with brake fluid it is necessary to observe the following:

Brake fluid is poisonous. Do not suck away brake fluid a mouth through a hose at all. You store liquid only in the capacity, casual access to which is excluded.

2 Brake fluid is aggressive. Exclude its contact with a paint and varnish covering. If it occurred, immediately wipe liquid and wash out water.
3 Brake fluid is hygroscopic, that is it absorbs the liquid which is contained in air. Therefore brake fluid should be stored only in the closed capacities.
4 Brake fluid which was used in system of braking already once, repeatedly to apply it is not allowed. During removal from the brake system of air it is also necessary to apply only new brake fluid.
5 The type of brake fluid is given in Specifications.
About a possibility of use of other brake fluids it is necessary to consult at specialists of BMW.
6 The contact of brake fluid with mineral oils is not allowed. Insignificant traces of mineral oil do brake fluid unsuitable and lead to failure of the brake system. Traffic jams and cuffs of the brake system are damaged if they contact to the means containing mineral oils. It is impossible to apply the rags impregnated with mineral oils to cleaning of elements of system.
7 Brake fluid should be replaced each two years, irrespective of the passable distance in kilometers. Replacement of brake fluid is recommended to be made after cold season.

Brake fluid is a product which cannot be poured out or thrown out together with household waste. Local authorities provide information in places of its possible utilization.
