Tempostat (automatic equipment of maintenance of the set speed) *

 

Tempostat allows to remember and to automatically support the required speed at the level of not lower than 30 km/h.

Inclusion of a tempostat

Tempostat can be included after turn of the ignition key in situation 1. Press the button 1. At the same time on the control panel the control lamp will light up.
You can use tempostaty.

The movement with the set speed, storing of speed and dispersal

Press the button 2.

The actual speed of the movement which will be supported by a constant is entered into memory of a tempostat. Each subsequent pressing of the button speed will increase by 1 km/h.

If to hold the button 2 in the pressed situation, then the car will accelerate without impact on an accelerator pedal. If to release the button, the speed reached by this moment will remain in memory and will be supported at this level.

Delay

Press the button 3.

If before the movement already happened in the mode of maintenance of the set speed, then by each pressing of the button speed will decrease by 1 km/h.

If to hold the button 3 in the pressed situation, then at the movement in the mode of maintenance of the set speed extent of opening of a butterfly valve automatically will decrease and the movement will be slowed down. If to release the button, then the speed reached by this moment will remain in memory and will be supported at this level.

Interruption of work of a tempostat

At the included tempostat press the button 1. The control lamp continues to burn. If necessary you can use tempostaty again.

Besides, work of a tempostat automatically is interrupted in the following cases:

- When braking.
- At switching off of coupling or when translating the lever of the AT selector from situation D in situation N.
- For BMW 318i, 320i, 323i, 328i: if the set speed is exceeded throughout more than 30 with and more than on 16 km/h.
- For BMW 320d: if the set speed is exceeded throughout more than 30 with and more than on 16 km/h or decreases more than by 20 km/h.

Speed call from memory

Press the button 4.

There will be a call of the last of the entered values of speed to which it at first will be brought, and then will begin to be supported at the set level. With turn of the ignition key in situation 0 темпостат it will be switched off, and the entered value of speed will be erased.

Switching off of a tempostat

Having interrupted work of a tempostat, once again press the button 1. The control lamp will go out, and the value of speed kept in memory will be erased.

It is impossible to use tempostaty if the route abounds with turns or if the increased intensity of the movement does not allow to move evenly, and also on slippery (because of snow, a rain, ice) the road or weak (gravel, sand) soil.

If at the movement under a bias of brake effect of the engine it is not enough, then the set speed can be exceeded. On rises its reduction is possible if there is not enough engine capacity.
