Turbocompressor

The diesel engine is equipped with a turbocompressor. The turbocompressor has two turbines installed on one shaft and placed in two separate cases: the driving turbine working from the fulfilled gases and the delivery turbine compressing the air coming to the engine. At the same time the angular speed of rotation of a shaft of turbines reaches 120 000 rpm. Lubricant of a turbocompressor is carried out from the engine lubrication system.

Increase in engine capacity at the expense of a turbo-supercharging reaches 100%. Along with increase of power owing to application of a turbocompressor also the torque increases. Growth of power among other things depends on pressure of nadduvayemy air which at engines of cars makes 0.4 - 0.8 bars. Air pressure by means of the sensor of pressure is controlled and regulated by the engine monitor. Thus, excess of pressure of air above admissible is excluded.

Between a turbocompressor and an inlet path of the engine there is a cooler of nadduvayemy air. Cooling of air promotes increase in engine capacity as cold air thanks to higher density has higher content of oxygen.

The 3rd series has adjustable guides of a shovel, control of which is exercised from the monitor of the engine via the electromagnetic valve and a vacuum box. It provides achievement of optimum pressure of air at any speed of the engine that in turn provides higher torque and higher engine capacity, in particular, at low numbers of turns.

Contrary to petrol engines at diesel it is not required to reduce extent of compression because of pressurization. Thus, on low turns injectable fuel is completely burned.

The turbocompressor represents the mechanism of very high precision. Therefore, as a rule, in case of malfunction the turbocompressor is replaced entirely.
